At 119 St. George Street in St. Augustine, Prohibition Kitchen pairs locally sourced pub food, craft cocktails, and nightly live music in a two-story, 1920s-inspired dining room. Burgers, poutine, milkshakes, and larger plates fill the menu.
The bar and booths were built from 400-year-old heart pine reclaimed from the original colonial structure. Settle into a downstairs booth or take a balcony seat overlooking the stage below.

🎓 Flagler earns its first two No. 1 rankings
The Gist: Flagler College earned the top spot among Regional Colleges in the South and Top Private Regional Colleges in the South in U.S. News & World Report's 2027 rankings. The college also placed No. 16 for Best Value in its region and received national recognition for its undergraduate psychology program.
Why It Matters: These are Flagler's first No. 1 finishes in either category, putting the downtown St. Augustine college at the top of its Southern peer group.

🐢 1,000-plus responses shape new beach habitat plan
The Gist: More than 1,000 people responded to St. Johns County's beach management survey. Support reached 94% for more wildlife education and signs, 91% for nighttime driving restrictions during turtle season and 90% for coastal-lighting enforcement.
Why It Matters: The renewed Habitat Conservation Plan will guide how the county protects nesting sea turtles and beach mice while keeping beaches open for public use.
What's Next: County staff and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will use the results to draft the next plan as the 20-year permit approved in 2006 comes up for renewal.

🚚 County adopts new food truck park rules
The Gist: St. Johns County commissioners unanimously approved rules allowing food truck parks in highway commercial, high-intensity commercial and rural commercial zoning districts. Parks may operate from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and must follow the county noise ordinance.
Why It Matters: The rules tell operators where food truck parks can open and set hours and location standards for nearby neighborhoods.
